Background


Over half the world’s population now lives in an urban area, and 75% will call a city home by 2050. There are many contributors to urban change, including ordinary citizens who can have a great impact improving the cities in which they live. The people invented culture, identity and lifestyle for the city.

There was time when human find sanctuary in caves. Making it their home. Even then they still have their own lifestyle. Fast forward into 2011 and nothing much have change. Human substitute cave with houses and flock into urban area to create a community.



Problem Identification

Ideation/Concept

Urban Cave is an installation that display the lifestyle, social, culture, and identity of urban area created by human. The installation is based on sculpture and projection mapping. An urban sculpture mimicking a cave that allow user to walk through and experience the 'cave' while images of urbanism projected upon the cave.
